About the Artist
Christine’s work is about space and culture, from the commonplace constructions of our industrial landscape, through an urban dynamic to suburban sprawl and beyond, to the commoditized topographies of our vacation destinations. She is interested in how the energy of these spaces is manipulated by the juxtaposition of man-made objects, creating a geography of nowhere.
Her works reproduce found objects such as highway debris, urban refuse and consumer goods, exploring the dynamics of change within the urban and suburban landscape, which represent an arrangement of objects from a landscape that is forever in transition.
