About the Artist

Jessica Hiemstra-van der Horst started life in Edmonton, Alberta. Since then she’s lived in British Columbia, Botswana, Indiana, Michigan, Ontario and Sierra Leone. Along the way she’s attended a few universities, picked up a degree in linguistics, sold and exhibited her art, and sold ice cream from a Dickie Dee bicycle. She lives in Guelph, Ontario where she writes and paints full time.
