About the Artist
Mary Brule like everyone has been saddened and horrified by the world tragedies: manmade such as wars and 9-11 or natural disasters like floods, earthquakes, and fires. As an artist, she wanted to express her thoughts on these tragedies but deciding not to paint death, destruction and human anguish. Instead her images present a hope for the future and express the wonderful simple things that have occurred and will occur again and again in the future. With clear colours, recognizable shapes and drawing on past and present experiences, she paints people enjoying simple pleasures within their environment, or, getting a fresh perspective on life.
